Last September was busy with the release of new flagship phones/phablets at IFA 2015. Huawei, Acer, Sony, Lenovo, Alcatel, Asus etc. released the new iteration of their flagships. Considering that the flagships have been dealt with in the last edition, we wish to bring to you the latest notebooks and tablets on the block.
Acer Chromebook R11
THE Chromebook R11, the device sports an 11-inch display of 1366×768 pixel resolution with support for 10-point multi-touch. The device is powered by Intel Pentium processors, and users have a choice to pick between N3150 and N3050 chipsets. The device supports up to 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It comes with an HDR-capable webcam, with support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and USB 3.0 ports.
A bonkers hardcore gaming notebook with its own on-board water cooling system which comes also with an overclockable 6th gen Intel K-SKU processor, Nvidia graphics and a 17-inch 4K UHD IPS display. It sports Windows 10, features 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and two USB ports on its slim body. There’s an Intel Cherry Trail processor inside.
Indeed, thanks to Windows 10’s Xbox One streaming feature, you could potentially even use it to play current gen games in any room in the house.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3
THE Yoga Tab 3 Pro comes in with a similar form factor to the standard Tab 3s, but with higher specs and more features. The Tab 3 Pro is also IP21 splash proof while weighing just 1.47 pounds, and has four front-facing speakers, a 10200 mAh battery and 13MP rear / 5MP front cameras. The body incorporates metal as well, and the back has a nice black leather to hold rather than a textured plastic.
Rather than house a rotational camera in the edge, the Tab 3 Pro instead incorporates a pico projector with 50 units of brightness capable of displaying a 70-inch picture.
THE Alcatel OneTouch Xess tablet, that sports a giant 17.3-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion up to 64GB. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera, a big 10000mAh battery, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and sports a pair of powerful 3-watt JBL speakers that should provide some great audio quality. This new device is aiming to be a family-oriented tablet for use in the kitchen for displaying recipes, in the living room for watching movies, and more. It even comes with a built-in stand, stylus and slide-out carrying handle. It comes with a convenient kickstand, it’s sharp, long-lasting, decently speedy and, above all, big.
Toshiba Satellite Radius 12
TOSHIBA’S ace up its sleeve is a 12.5-inch convertible laptop with a touchscreen display that can flip over to become a tablet-like device. The Satellite Radius 12 is, in fact, an Ultra HD 4K device – the first for that screen size. The 3840 x 2160 LED display can be further enhanced for picture quality through Technicolor-certified calibration technology.
The best spec’d version also has a 6th gen Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and comes with Windows 10. It also includes a USB Type-C connection alongside two USB 3.0 ports.
Tecno Phantom 5

The Phantom 5 has a unibody design, with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display and a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and a pixel density of about 400ppi. The phone has a fingerprint scanner located behind and comes with a solid 3000 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery.
With a 3GB RAM, a superfast 64-bit 1.5 GHz octa-core processor and a Mali-T760 MP4 GPU, the Tecno Phantom has all the requirements needed for a super-fast phone.
